With Sales Start in March 2026, Yamaha Corporation will launch the EAD50 as a new model in its Electronic Acoustic Drum Module lineup. At the same time, Yamaha will release the Drum Sensor Unit included with the EAD50 as a standalone product under the name DSU50.
The newly-released EAD50 is a high-spec Electronic Acoustic Drum Module that builds on the concept of the EAD10, and can be used in settings ranging from home to the stage. A newly developed Drum Sensor Unit also makes higher-quality sound capture possible. The EAD50 also integrates drum-related equipment such as a mixer, effector, and drum tone generator module into a single unit. Because drummers can freely customize their sound themselves, the product further expands their range of expression. In addition, the EAD50 supports a variety of needs, including live performance, video streaming, home recording, and online lessons. Its simple setup and easy connectivity expand the possibilities in both performance environments and enjoyment.
“The EAD50 is an innovative tool that brings out the creativity of drummers to the fullest,” said Jin Sakamoto, senior general manager of Yamaha B&O Division. “We hope you look forward to Yamaha’s new approach to expanding the enjoyment of drumming, from home to the big stage.”
