- Axoum Duo
Recognized for their excellent musical skills and virtuoso performances, Axoum Duo is one of the most diverse groups representing a number of different styles in today`s music. Through their own musical language they perform a repertoire mostly consisting of compositions and arrangements written by Gabriel Collet, specifically for the duo.
In addition to their concert activities, the duo writes soundtracks for documentaries and works with different musicians, singers, dancers and painters. Fully committed to contemporary music, they have made many first performances of new pieces, some of which have been dedicated to them.
- David Friedman
David Friedman, internationally renowned vibraphonist, marimbist, composer and jazz educator, has his own musical message, born of fascinatingly diverse musical influences. Few jazz musicians can claim as broad a spectrum of performing and recording experience, with such varied musical personalities as Leonard Bernstein, Luciano Berio, Bobby McFerrin, Wayne Shorter and Yoko Ono. The list doesn`t stop there. Friedman has been heard either live or on recordings with, among others, Joe Henderson, Horace Silver, Johnny Griffin, Jane Ira Bloom, Ron Carter and John Scofield. His compositions are featured on Chet Baker`s award winning Enja release, Peace, with bassist Buster Williams and drummer Joe Chambers. Friedman is also the featured soloist on this recording.
- Don Liuzzi
Don Liuzzi nasceu e cresceu em Weymouth, Massachusetts, e concluiu o ensino secundário no Centro de Aprendizagem Franklin, em Filadélfia. Obteve o Bacharelato em Música pela Universidade de Michigan e o Mestrado em Música na Temple University. Antes de entrar para a Orquestra de Filadélfia, em 1989, foi membro da secção de percussão da Orquestra Sinfónica de Pittsburgh, entre 1982 e 1989.
- Eduardo Lopes
Efectuou estudos de bateria jazz e percussão clássica no Conservatório de Roterdão (Holanda). Licenciou-se com a mais alta distinção (Summa Cum Laude) em Instrumento e Composição na Berklee College of Music (EUA).
- Mike Mainieri
Nascido em 24 de julho de 1938, no Bronx, Nova Iorque, Mike Mainieri começou a aprender vibrafone aos 12 anos e iniciou a sua carreira aos 14. Depois de atuar como membro da Banda de Buddy Rich, foi pioneiro do movimento de fusão de estilos de Nova Iorque, como líder de banda de grupos lendários, incluindo os White Elephant, L'Image, STEPS e STEPS AHEAD, juntamente com Steve Gadd, Michael Brecker e outros artistas nos anos 70.
- Isao Nakamura
Isao Nakamura has taught at the Internationalen Ferienkurse für Neue Musik in Darmstadt (1994-2006), Akiyoshidai International Contemporary Music Seminar and Festival in Japan (1991-1998) and is Professor at the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe since 1992.
- Neil Percy
Principal Percussionist with the London Symphony Orchestra and Head of Timpani and Percussion at the Royal Academy of Music. Neil studied percussion and piano at Chetham’s School of Music and jazz and composition at Eastman School of Music, and before continuing his studies at the Royal College, won the Bronze Medal in the first LSO-Shell Scholarship for Timpani and Percussion.
- Simone Rebello
Simone graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music with Distinction and a collection of awards including a major scholarship and The Phillip Jones Prize. She began a solo career which has taken her around the world with concerto appearances, solo recitals, master classes and appearances on national and international TV and radio. She has recorded several CDs and is in high demand as a soloist with brass bands, wind ensembles and symphony orchestras. She continues to win awards such as the 1998 Cosmopolitan/House of Fraser Woman of the Year in the Arts.

Dave Samuels, with his distinct musical personality, has established himself as the top mallet player of his generation. He is recognized for his fresh new sound and creative approach to both the vibraphone and marimba. Dave has demonstrated his versatility and gained worldwide recognition by performing and recording with a broad scope of artists including Gerry Mulligan, Oscar Peterson, Chet Baker, Stan Getz, Carla Bley, The Yellowjackets, Pat Metheny, Bruce Hornsby, Frank Zappa, The Fantasy Band, Spyro Gyra, Double Image and the Grammy award winning The Caribbean Jazz Project.
